Banquet Brawl — One-Take Fight
A 15-second, zero-cut steadicam fight in a 1990s action-movie look: from a steamy hotel kitchen through swinging doors into a golden banquet hall, improvised props, hits synced to a racing tango, and a slow-motion finish into a champagne pyramid. Replace the first frame with your own hero in your own location and rewrite the props and finishing move.
One unbroken steadicam take, 15 seconds, no cuts. 1990s big-budget action film look: 35mm grain, wide anamorphic lens, cold teal kitchen light turning to warm golden banquet light. The woman from the first frame (black braid, burgundy waistcoat) stays the same person throughout. Stylised, bloodless slapstick action.
0-3s: In the steamy kitchen she blocks a swing with the copper saucepan lid with a loud clang, then sweeps a tray of dumplings off the counter into an attacker's face; flour and steam burst into the air.
3-6s: The camera backs through the swinging double doors ahead of her into the golden banquet hall. She snatches a soda siphon from a waiter and sprays it into a man's eyes, then spins him into a dessert trolley.
6-10s: A flurry in the middle of the room: she slides across a round table on a white tablecloth, sending cutlery flying, lands a spinning kick, and ducks as a chair sails over her head. Hits land on the beat of a racing orchestral tango; the camera punches in on each impact.
10-13s: The last attacker charges. She vaults a chair, leaps, and plants a flying kick.
13-15s: He flies backward in slow motion straight into a towering champagne-glass pyramid, which explodes in a glittering spray. The camera snaps in on her face, dusted with flour, as she blows a loose strand of hair aside and raises the saucepan lid again.
Tactile physics: shattering glass, splashing liquid, flying flour. Clattering trays, crashing plates, an urgent tango score synced to the hits.
